Professional Experience
Senator Yoine Goldstein is a leading member of Canada's legal community and one of the most respected lawyers in Canada. He is the only Canadian lawyer to have been elected a Fellow of both the American College of Bankruptcy and the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Throughout his distinguished career, Yoine Goldstein has been recognized across Canada and worldwide for his knowledge of insolvency a subject about which he has published and lectured extensively. In acknowledgement of his expertise in the insolvency field Mr. Goldstein was appointed chair of the Federal Personal Insolvency Task Force. He was appointed special counsel to the Senate Standing Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
Senator Goldstein has been actively involved with the Montreal, Quebec and Canadian Bars, numerous Insolvency Committees and task forces, and is an active member of Canada's Jewish community, which he has served in numerous leadership positions. Over the years, Mr. Goldstein has received a host of professional and volunteer awards and is a long-serving member on numerous foundations.
Yoine Goldstein sat in the Senate as a member of the Liberal Party of Canada.
