Professional Experience
Tushara is a Partner in the firm's Restructuring and Insolvency Group. Her practice involves all aspects of insolvency law including reorganizations, bankruptcies, receiverships, workouts, the purchase and sale of distressed businesses, lending transactions and DIP financing.
Tushara has been involved in many high profile domestic and cross-border restructuring proceedings including Canwest Limited Partnership, Quebecor World Inc. (World Color Press), Indalex Limited, Pliant Corporation and Masonite International. She also has significant experience with automotive insolvencies and has advised banks, OEMs and part suppliers in connection with several automotive restructurings.
Tushara is a member of the Ontario Bar Association's Insolvency Law Section Executive. She is a co-chair of the Insolvency Section's Annual Passport Seminar Series and was a co-chair of the OBA Institute's Insolvency Law Program in 2011.
Tushara is recognized in Chambers Global 2012 as a leading lawyer in the area of Restructuring/Insolvency.
