Professional Activities
Tom is a partner in the firm's Vancouver office and a member of its Securities Group. He has broad-based experience in general corporate, finance and securities related matters, and represents numerous publicly traded companies, including companies listed on each of the TSX-Venture, TSX, NASDAQ, AMEX, AIM and OTCBB exchanges and over-the-counter markets, and has assisted such companies in each of their formation, structuring, business development, financing and listing requirements. Tom also represents numerous private companies and provides them with general corporate and securities related advice. From 1990 to 2005, Tom was a principal owner with a Vancouver-based law firm specializing in providing general corporate, finance and securities related legal services to numerous public and private companies and their principals.

Tom has previously served in a representative capacity as a director and senior officer with numerous public and private companies from inception through to senior board listing.
Community Involvement
Tom has served on numerous fundraising Boards and Committees for various activities and organizations in the South Surrey/White Rock area of British Columbia. Tom takes extreme pride in being a founding and active Governor of Southridge School located in South Surrey, British Columbia.
Representative Transactions
- Acted for Uranium Energy Corp (NYSE-AMEX: UEC) in an October 2010 private placement for aggregate gross proceeds of up to approximately $27.5 million.
- Acted for Genuity Capital Markets, G.P. and Canaccord Financial in a $145 million Eacom Timber Corp. private placement, in March 2010.
- Acted for Terrane Metals Corp. in their $C650 million purchase by Thompson Creek Metals Company, in July 2010.
- Acted for Uranium Energy Corp. (NYSE-AMEX: UEC) in its purchase of Everest Exploration, Inc. including its 1%-interest in the South Texas Mining Venture, L.L.P., a Texas limited liability partnership, in November 2009.
