Professional Experience Robert is an associate in the Business Law Group at the firm's Toronto office. He is building a practice focused on corporate transactions, capital markets and mergers & acquisitions.

Robert joined McMillan as a summer student in 2009 and completed his articles with the firm in 2011. During this time he gained valuable experience in corporate and securities law as well as exposure to various areas of information technology and privacy law. Robert has assisted both public and private organizations complete share or asset purchase transactions, secure equity financing, negotiate technology service arrangements and construct privacy policy and response materials related to federal and provincial privacy legislation.

While a student at Osgoode Robert interned and volunteered with the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic (CIPPIC) where he provided advice and assistance to clients and public interest organizations dealing with privacy, technology and telecommunications law issues.
