Professional Experience
Marty is an associate in the Business Law Group. His practice includes advising clients on a broad range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, asset and share sales, public securities offerings, and private placements.
As a student, Marty directed Osgoode's International Legal Partnership, served on the executive of Schulich's Net Impact chapter, and worked as a research assistant and teaching assistant.
Prior to joining McMillan, Marty worked as an information strategist in the federal government and as a political aide in Ontario's Ministry of Children and Youth Services. He has volunteered on business and education projects in Bolivia, Burkina Faso, and Cambodia. In 2010, Marty won a Lexpert Zenith Pro Bono Award of Distinction in the Environmental category for his work with Islands First at the 15th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the 5th Conference of the Parties to the Convention's Kyoto Protocol.
