Professional Activities

Marni Whitaker is a partner in the Taxation and Estate Law Groups in the firm's Toronto office. She is a well respected expert advisor in both tax and estate law and provides personal legal counsel in planning and administration of all aspects of these practice areas, including wills, powers of attorney and trust establishment. She also handles corporate reorganizations which encompass estate planning. Marni is often called upon by others in the firm to provide insight into unique and complex situations.

Marni is well known as a professional who also offers exceptional advice in all capacities. Her clients refer others to her for situations of personal income tax and documentation relating to the Family Law Act.

From her initial involvement in a metro Toronto legal clinic dedicated to those in poverty, Marni developed a deep understanding of the challenges and needs of the less fortunate. She adopted a sincere and considerate style still in evidence in the work she continues to perform for establishing and providing ongoing services for charitable and non-profit organizations.
