Professional Experience Laura is an associate in the firm's Advocacy and Litigation Group. She is developing a broad practice in corporate and commercial litigation, as well as international arbitration.

Laura joined McMillan as a summer student in 2009, and returned to the firm to complete her articles in 2011. As a student, she participated in a variety of complex litigation and regulatory compliance matters in the areas of securities, competition, bankruptcy and insolvency, pensions and employee compensation. Laura worked closely with lawyers specializing in the automotive, natural resources and insurance industries.

At law school, Laura has volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, and as a caseworker in the Workers' Rights Division at the Parkdale Community Legal Services clinic. She is a member of a team of practitioners who teach the course Lawyer as Negotiator at Osgoode Hall Law School.

Laura speaks fluent French and Romanian, conversational German and basic Japanese.
