Joan has more than 23 years experience in all aspects of oil and gas law. Her current practice is focused in the following areas: 

• working with clients to resolve contentious land, joint venture and mineral issues
• providing business advice respecting the interpretation of all types of land and joint venture agreements
• analyses of freehold lease issues
• expert in coal bed methane (CBM) issues
• negotiating and managing oil and gas corporate and asset transactions and related due diligence including facilities, marketing, joint ventures and surface
• negotiating and drafting all types of land, mineral and joint venture agreements
• analyzing and drafting master service agreements
• interpreting and determining the validity of gross royalty trust agreements

Joan is also a current Instructor of CAPLA Administration of Freehold Mineral Rights Course.
