Jeremy joined McMillan's Vancouver office as an associate in the Business Law Group in 2008 after his successful completion of articles with the firm.  His practice serves the needs of both large and small business clients in the areas of mergers & acquistions, corporate, natural resource, regulatory, securities and commercial law.

Prior to entering law school, Jeremy worked for a number of years in the British Columbia forest industry as a forest engineer. Jeremy obtained registration as a Professional Forester in British Columbia in 2004.

Representative Transactions

  • Acted for Georgia-Pacific LLC in its purchase of Grant Forest Products Inc.'s oriented strand board (OSB) facilities at Englehart and Earlton, Ontario and Allendale and Clarendon, South Carolina for approximately US$400 million.
  • Acted for West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. in its acquisition of certain woodland assets from Weyerhaeuser.
  • Assisted senior counsel in representing a large shipper in a final offer arbitration with a Canadian railway.
