Professional Activities
Erica is an associate in the Capital Markets and M&A Group in the firm's Vancouver office. Her practice focuses primarily on corporate finance and general corporate and commercial matters. Erica also assists public companies with general securities compliance, continuous disclosure requirements and corporate governance matters. She regularly acts for public corporations, including issuers listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange.
Erica articled with McMillan in 2008 and was called to the Bar in 2009. Prior to attending law school, Erica earned her honours degree in Political Science and Spanish from Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick. She has also studied Spanish at the Universidad de Guanajuato and the Universidad de Salamanca, and international law at the Universiteit van Amsterdam.

Representative Transactions
- Acted for Century Iron Mines Corporation in connection with the completion of its Qualifying Transaction in May 2011 involving the acquisition of Century Iron Ore Holdings Inc. and concurrent financings totalling approximately $115.5 million including a $60.9 million investment by WISCO International Resources Development & Investment Limited, one of the major subsidiaries of Wuhan Iron & Steel (Group) Corporation, a $12.0 million investment by Minmetals Exploration & Development (Luxembourg) Limited S.a.r.l., a subsidiary of China Minmetals Corporation, and a $32.5 million brokered subscription receipt financing.
- Acted for Primero Mining Corp., a TSX-listed and Canadian-based precious metals producer with operations in Mexico in connection with the acquisition by Primero of the San Dimas gold-silver mine and associated assets, which are located in Mexico's San Dimas district, and related financing of $300 million. The acquisition was valued at US$510 million and was completed in August, 2010.
- Acted for Genuity Capital Markets, G.P. and Canaccord Financial in connection with a $145 million subscription receipt financing by Eacom Timber Corp. conducted in March 2010.
