Professional Experience
Annie Lin Tao serves as Strategic Advisor in the Hong Kong office. Annie provides practical advice to clients on opportunities in Asia and Canada involving M&A, capital markets and private equity, foreign investment and commercial transactions. Serving in a client relationship partner capacity, she is focused on ensuring that clients have a responsive and rewarding relationship with McMillan. With her extensive connections and strong understanding of Asian and Western cultures, Annie is ideally positioned to provide clients with introductions to successful business partners and opportunities.
Annie has extensive knowledge of the global market place especially with regard to China, and brings over 15 years of experience in the finance and strategic business development field. She works closely with government and quasi-government officials, banks and business associations in Asia and North America. She is an accomplished public speaker, having spoken at many conferences in Hong Kong and throughout Mainland China, Canada and the United States.
Annie is the former Head of Business Development, Asia Listings for the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange. During her time with the TMX Group, Annie established its Chinese business development practice, and very successfully developed the positioning of the TSX name in China. In addition, Annie has prior experience working for various U.S. and Canadian law firms in both China and Canada, an investment banking firm and a global consultancy firm.
She is fluent in Mandarin and English.
