Andy practices business law with a focus on corporate restructuring, lending and private mergers and acquisitions. Recognized nationally and internationally both as a leading Canadian banking practitioner and as one of Canada's pre-eminent restructuring practitioners, Andy is listed in many domestic and international directories as one of the leading business lawyers in Canada. He was selected as one of The Top 25 Most Influential lawyers in a poll conducted by Canadian Lawyer magazine for his commitment to firm growth. He is also rated as AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell and has been repeatedly listed in Lexpert's Leading 500 lawyers in Canada.

Andy has written on a wide variety of legal matters including corporate reorganizations, lending transactions and directors' duties. He has led professional efforts to reform Canada's business insolvency laws, serving as Chair of the Joint Task Force on Business Insolvency Law Reform of the Insolvency Institute of Canada and the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals from 2001 to 2005. He has been an Adjunct Professor of the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto and is a Fellow of the Insolvency Institute of Canada (FIIC).
In addition to carrying on an active practice as Chair of the firm's Financial Services and Restructuring group, Andy serves as the firm's Chief Executive Officer focusing externally on client relationships.
