Professional Experience
Andrea is an Associate in the firm's Debt Products Group. Her practice focuses on acting for lenders and borrowers in a variety of domestic and cross-border debt financing transactions including corporate lending, syndicated financing, asset-based lending, cash flow-based lending and debtor-in-possession financing. Andrea completed a secondment at the Ontario Securities Commission (Corporate Finance Branch) during her articles with the firm in 2006.
Representative Transactions
- Counsel to Export Development Canada, as agent for the government of Canada and Ontario, in connection with the provision of $9.5 billion of financing solutions to General Motors
- Counsel to Export Development Canada, as agent for the governments of Canada and Ontario, in connection with the extension of up to $3.8 billion of restructuring finance to Chrysler
- Involved with closing a major infrastructure project to design, build, finance, maintain and operate 23 existing service centres across Highways 400 and 401 in Ontario
- Canadian counsel to JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., as administrative agent for the extension of a US$250 million senior secured asset-based revolving credit facility to a leading designer, developer and marketer of athletic equipment and accessories
- Counsel to GE Canada Finance Holding Company, as agent to a syndicate of lenders for the extension of a $175 million secured term loan facility to a major forest products producer
- Canadian counsel to JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., as co-arrangers for the extension of a US$175 million senior secured asset-based credit facility to a steel service centre, processor and tubing manufacturer
