Professional Activities
- Partner as of 1999.
- Member of the firm's Civil and Commercial Litigation and Family Law Groups. Practises in family law, including separation, divorce, custody, asset and property division, wills and estate planning.
Andrea is fully attuned and considerate of the complexities in her Family Law practice. She litigates issues as diverse as child custody, valuation of trusts and pensions, business law (including valuations of corporations), income tax, estates, and support. Ever considerate of the feelings of her clients, Andrea recognizes their concerns and maintains sensitivity to the often stressful and chaotic situations in which they find themselves. She manages the complexity of the considerable legal issues extraordinarily well while also dealing with the varied emotions involved. Her inherent people skills are key contributors in applying legal solutions for effective resolution in these highly sensitive areas.
Without a doubt, Andrea's compassionate manner and comprehension about what motivates others are attributes valued by other lawyers as well. Her likeable ways and genuine appreciation for personal relationships that develop between lawyers and clients are reassuring. At the same time, she is able to remain objective and can present a firm, direct demeanor when the situation requires it. Her perception and intuition flow into her ability to read situations well. She anticipates and prepares for the opposing party's case, using a pragmatic common-sense approach to problems.
